Who is cuete yeska?

Cuete Yeska is a Mexican artist, based in Mexico City. Born in Oaxaca in 1991, she studied philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and began her art practice independently. She works with a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. Her work often explores themes of identity, history, and spirituality, combining traditional Mexican iconography with contemporary elements. Cuete Yeska has been recognized for her unique artistic style and has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Mexico and internationally. She is currently represented by the Galería OMR in Mexico City and has been featured in publications such as Artforum, Vogue, and The New York Times.
