Why did Janet Jackson start singing?

Janet Jackson began singing at a very young age. Her father Joseph Jackson, who was a musician, encouraged her to pursue a music career. Janet grew up in a musical household, where her brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael were all talented musicians. She started singing with her brothers when she was a child and their performances impressed their father, who started giving them music lessons. Janet and her brothers continued to perform in a group, called the Jackson 5, which later gained international fame. Janet's singing talent became more prominent as the group matured, and she eventually embarked on a successful solo career, becoming a renowned pop icon in the music industry.
