Why did Drake start singing?
Drake began his career as an actor, starring in the popular Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2001 to 2009. He developed an interest in music during this time, writing his own songs and performing them at local talent shows. In 2006, he released his first mixtape, Room for Improvement, followed by two more mixtapes, Comeback Season (2007) and So Far Gone (2009), which gained him recognition and a substantial following.
Drake's transition from acting to singing can be attributed to his passion for music and his natural talent as a songwriter and performer. He found that expressing himself through music allowed him to connect with audiences in a deeper and more personal way. As his popularity grew, he decided to focus primarily on his music career and released his debut album, Thank Me Later, in 2010, establishing himself as a successful recording artist.
