How did Girls Aloud get famous?

Girls Aloud was formed through the reality television series Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The group achieved instant success with their debut single, "Sound of the Underground", which topped the UK Singles Chart and became one of the best-selling singles of the year. The group's subsequent singles, including "No Good Advice", "Life Got Cold", and "Jump", also reached number one in the UK. Girls Aloud's debut album, "Sound of the Underground", was released in 2003 and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

The group's second album, "What Will the Neighbours Say?", was released in 2004 and was also certified platinum by the BPI. The album spawned two number-one singles, "The Show" and "I'll Stand by You". Girls Aloud's third album, "Chemistry", was released in 2005 and was the group's best-selling album to date, reaching number one in the UK and being certified double platinum by the BPI. The album included the hit singles "Something Kinda Ooooh", "See the Day", and "Biology".

Girls Aloud's fourth album, "Tangled Up", was released in 2007 and reached number one in the UK. The album included the hit singles "Call the Shots", "Sexy! No, No, No...", and "Can't Speak French". Girls Aloud's fifth and final album, "Out of Control", was released in 2008 and reached number one in the UK. The album included the hit singles "The Promise", "The Loving Kind", and "Untouchable".

Girls Aloud won numerous awards during their career, including five Brit Awards, two MTV Europe Music Awards, and two World Music Awards. The group sold over 10 million records worldwide and had 20 top ten singles in the UK. Girls Aloud disbanded in 2013, but they reunited for a one-off concert in 2017.
