Can a baritone sing tenor C?
The range for a tenor voice typically lies from C3 to C5 whereas the range for a baritone voice typically lies between A2 to A4.[citation needed] While it is possible for some baritones to sing C5 (tenor C), this is not considered part of their typical range and such notes would be considered lying in a baritone's passaggio, the point where the voice transitions from one vocal register to another. To hit such notes, a baritone may use vocal techniques such as falsetto or head voice, or may switch to a mixed register.
