When did Michael Jackson record the song This Is It?

There is no such song as "This Is It" by Michael Jackson. The track for the 2009 film of the same name was originally recorded by Paul Anka in 1983 under the title "I Never Heard" and given to Jackson in the mid-1980s. However, Jackson re-recorded the song in 2009 with new lyrics, and it was subsequently released as the soundtrack's title track.
