There are a few ways to get the radio code for a 2004 Epica.
*Method 1: Find the radio security code provided when the radio was installed in the vehicle.
1. Check your vehicle's owner's manual**. The radio code may be listed in the section on the audio system.
2. Look for a sticker or label on the radio itself. The code may be printed on a sticker or label that is attached to the radio.
3. Contact your local Chevrolet dealer. They may be able to provide you with the radio code if you provide them with your vehicle's VIN number.
*Method 2*
1. Look for a card or sticker in the glove box or owner's manual holder that has the code written on it. This is the most common place to find the code, and it is often overlooked.
2. Try one of the common factory presets from this list:
0000
1234
1111
4444
Some models of GM radios have these codes set as defaults from the factory. It's unlikely to happen, but it is worth a try if you would rather not try other methods.
3. Press the AM/FM** button to switch between AM and FM modes.
4. Press and hold the Scan button for 5 seconds. The radio will display the letters "CODE".
5. Enter the four-digit radio code** using the radio's preset buttons. Press the preset buttons that correspond to the numbers of the code. For example, if the code is 1234, press the preset buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4.
6. Press and hold the Scan button for 5 seconds again. The radio will turn on.
*Method 3* *If you have attempted to enter a code multiple times and the radio is locked* Try this:
1. Turn the radio on.
2. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset buttons at the same time for five seconds.
3. The display will show "SAFE."
4. Press the preset buttons to enter the four-digit code.
5. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset buttons again for five seconds.
The radio will turn on.
