How to Export a Song in Logic Pro

When you are finished arranging and mixing a project in Logic Pro, you can export your music to a disc or as an audio file to share it with family, friends or other listeners. Exporting audio is a very simple process in Logic Pro.

Instructions

    • 1

Deselect any regions or sections on which you may have been working in the arrange or editing areas of Logic Pro. If any regions are selected, you may not bounce, or export, the entire mix.

    • 2

Click the "Bounce" button, which is located in the toolbar. You may also click File-Bounce or press Command-Bounce. The Bounce window will open.

    • 3

Type the file name with the title of your choice in the "Save As" field. In the Bounce window, you can also choose the file format, resolution, sample rate, file type and dithering. For CD-quality sound, choose 16-bit for the resolution and 44100 for the sample rate.

    • 4

Click "Bounce." A progress bar will indicate the track is bouncing and may take a few minutes.

    • 5

Open the file in a media player like iTunes. Listen to your final mix in the player.
