When you back up your device on iTunes, iTunes stores a copy of this information on your computer. This backup can be used to restore your device's data and settings in case of data loss, device damage, or when setting up a new device.
To back up your device on iTunes, follow these steps:
1. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
2. Open iTunes on your computer.
3. Select your device when it appears in iTunes.
4. In the left sidebar, click on "Summary."
5. Under the "Backups" section, click on "Back Up Now."
6. iTunes will start backing up your device. The backup progress will be displayed in the iTunes window.
Once the backup is complete, you will see a message indicating that it was successful. You can disconnect your device from your computer when the backup is finished.
It's important to note that backing up on iTunes is different than backing up your device to iCloud. iTunes backups are stored locally on your computer, while iCloud backups are stored in the cloud and can be accessed from any device signed in with your Apple ID.
