WHo made Session guitars?
The Session series of electric guitars were made by Gibson USA from 1991 to 1994. The series included three models: the Session Standard, the Session Custom, and the Session Deluxe. The Session Standard was a basic, no-frills guitar with a solid mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and two humbucking pickups. The Session Custom added a maple top to the mahogany body, a bound neck and fingerboard, and pearl inlays. The Session Deluxe was the top of the line model, with a carved mahogany body, a neck made of three pieces of maple and mahogany, a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl inlays, and three humbucking pickups. The Session guitars were discontinued in 1994, but they remain popular with collectors and players alike due to their excellent quality and construction.
