What is tape dubbing?
Tape dubbing is the process of creating a copy of an audio or video recording by playing the original recording on one recording device and simultaneously using another recording device to record the output or to mix sound tracks from multiple tape machines to a third tape machine . For most home users in Europe , this generally meant copying from one Compact Cassette to another using two cassette decks while simultaneously listening through headphones; or using the "monitor" switch that allows you to listen the incoming signal. Tape dubbing requires two devices.
Tape duplicating, on the other hand, requires only one machine capable of copying itself at high speed or several of this machines simultaneously using a dedicated machine that can control other identical machines.
