* Astatic D104 microphone
* Siltronix 1011D radio
* 2-conductor shielded cable (such as RG-58)
* Soldering iron and solder
* Wire strippers
* Phillips head screwdriver
Instructions:
1.Disconnect the power from the Siltronix 1011D radio.
2.Remove the cover of the radio.
3.Locate the microphone jack on the radio. It will typically be a 1/4-inch TRS (three-conductor) jack.
4.Strip the ends of the 2-conductor shielded cable about 1/4 inch.
5.Connect the shield wire of the cable to the ground terminal of the microphone jack.
6.Connect the other conductor of the cable to the tip terminal of the microphone jack.
7.Solder the connections in place.
8.Repeat steps 4-7 for the second conductor of the cable, connecting it to the ring terminal of the microphone jack.
9.Replace the cover of the radio.
10.Connect the Astatic D104 microphone to the microphone jack on the radio.
11.Power on the radio and adjust the volume to your desired level.
