Who was the first country music star?

The first country music star was Jimmie Rodgers. He was born in Meridian, Mississippi, in 1897. He began his career in the 1920s, and he is considered one of the pioneers of country music. He is known for his songs such as "Blue Yodel No. 1", "Mule Skinner Blues", and "In the Jailhouse Now". Rodgers died of tuberculosis in 1933 at the age of 35.
