Cut out pictures of inspirational musicians from magazines or print them out from the Internet. Use Mod Podge to adhere the pictures onto the front and back of the tray. For a more artistic look, glue the pictures in an overlapping, haphazard fashion. The pictures can motivate you during practice and inspire you to be successful.
Many musicians dream of performing at a certain venue, such as Carnegie Hall. Pictures of the venue can fuel the drive to keeping practicing in order to make it to that stage. One option is to gather several pictures of your "dream" venue and adhere them to the front and back of the tray of the music stand. Or, use a single picture enlarged and put it directly on the front of the stand.
For the flower-loving musician, some flower strands can serve as decorations on a music stand. Purchase some flower strands from a craft store. Mixing the types of flowers or using a single-type flower strand are two options to consider. With the strand in hand, start from the bottom base of the stand and continue wrapping it around until the top of the tube at the base of the tray. While wrapping the strand around, use a strong glue to glue it to the stand carefully so it will not slip down.
Cut pictures out of magazines of various types of instruments. Use Mod Podge to glue them in an overlapping fashion onto both sides of the tray and onto the feet of the music stand. To add a little more design, print out enlarged music notes and scatter a few in between the pictures.
Lyrics can play a significant part in the life of a musician. Not only can the lyrics be motivating, but they can also be inspirational when creating or playing new music. Print out entire songs or certain lyrics that are moving, and then use Mod Podge to adhere them onto the entire music stand, from feet to tray.
