      Download Notation Musician software at www.notation.com or AudioScore Ultimate 6 at www.sibelius.com. You can convert music files to sheet music with either of these software programs, and they both give you the option to download a free demo for a limited time.

      Upload your music file to the software. There are specific types of music files that are allowed for transcription to sheet music. Notation Musician software allows only MIDI, Karaoke and NoteSoft files. AudioScore Ultimate 6 software also allows you to transcribe MP3 files and CD files.

      MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files are files that allow computers, digital musical instruments and other devices to exchange data with each other.

      Transpose and add creative touches to your sheet music to make it easier for the musician to read with Notation Musician software. If you want to change the key of the piece of music, choose the "Transpose Instrument Key" command in the Staff menu. A wizard window will pop up. Click on the second option to confirm action.

      Click on "Look Up All Instrument Transposition" to look up all the names of the instruments that are based on staff names. If you are unsure what type of instrument the transposition should be in, click "Look Up" within the wizard, and it will give you a list of band and orchestra instruments to select.
