How to Make a Rubber Practice Pad
Most drummers use acoustic drum sets. As it is difficult to practice on a full drum set without producing performance-level volume, drummers use rubber practice pads to practice quietly. These practice pads provide a close facsimile to the feel of a drum head, but produce little noise. Rubber practice pads are significantly smaller than actual drums, allowing drummers to transport them easily.
