Basically Quartets is a series of workshops and lectures for people interested in chamber music held in Noddfa, North Wales. The courses are held annually for two weeks in the summer and cost 515 Euros per person as of 2011. The workshops focus on a background and appreciation of chamber music, music making, and one-on-one tutor guidance. Students who attend the course should have a knowledge of chamber music and play at least at a grade six or grade seven level. Students can register as a group or individually.
Zephyr International Chamber Course and Music Festival has been held annually since 2003 in Courmayeur, Italy which is approximately 137 miles from Milan. The courses are held each July and cost between $2250 and $2550 per person as of 2011. However, students must first apply to be accepted to the workshop. The courses feature hands-on learning and professional tutoring.
Musica Mundi International Chamber Music Course and Festival for Young Musicians is held for two weeks every summer in Waterloo, Belgium. The course is for students between the ages of 10 to 18 who are accepted through an audition. The course features intense training from a faculty of accomplished chamber music artists and costs 1240 Euros as of 2011.
The Perlman Music Program is available for students ages 18 and older who are focused on the study and performance of chamber music literature. The six-week program is offered twice annually to a select 37 students throughout the world. The summer music school is held in Shelter Island Heights, New York. The winter music school is held in Sarasota, Florida.
