How to Stop Punching out CD Barcodes
If you see a CD with a barcode that has a hole punched in it, this indicates that the CD is a musical artist's demo CD and should not be resold. Demos are CDs that artists give to music companies and producers as promotional products in order to generate interest in the artists. If you own a CD store, then talk to your employees about labeling demos without punching out the barcodes.
