Who is guitarist Sammy joe?

Sammy John Copley (July 12, 1939 – July 15, 2016), known professionally as Sammy Joe, was a British blues and skiffle musician, singer, songwriter and producer, primarily during the 1950s and 1960s. He is considered an original member of the rock and roll scene.

Copley was born in the Toxteth Park area of Liverpool. His father was a Welsh jazz drummer, and Copley began playing drums and guitar as a child. He became a performer at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool in the early 1960s, alongside many other well-known musicians such as The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and Billy J. Kramer with The Dakotas.

In 1963, Copley released his first album, "Rock With Sammy Joe". The album featured a range of genres, including blues, rock and roll, and skiffle. The album was well received and helped to establish Copley as a popular musician in the UK.

Copley continued to release albums and tour throughout the 1960s and 1970s. He also began producing records for other artists, including Billy Fury and The Foundations.

In the late 1970s, Copley's career began to decline. He developed a drug addiction and his music began to suffer as a result. He eventually returned to Liverpool and continued to perform in local venues.

In 2016, Copley passed away at the age of 77. He is remembered as an influential musician who helped to shape the early days of rock and roll.
