Where did Egyptian music originate from?

The music of ancient Egypt has some of the oldest recorded history in the world. Some of the earliest melodies known to the human world date to as far back as two thousand years ago. However, the origins of Egyptian music can be traced further back to the pre-dynastic period.

During this time, it is believed that the people of Egypt used music as a form of communication and expression. Music was used to accompany rituals, ceremonies, and everyday life. It was also used to tell stories and pass down the ancient Egyptian culture.

As the Egyptian civilization developed, so did its music. The Egyptians began to use a variety of instruments, including flutes, harps, lyres, and drums. They also developed a system of musical notation that allowed them to write down and preserve their music.
