Who started the band Type O-Negative?

The band Type O Negative was formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1989. The original members were Peter Steele (vocals, bass), Kenny Hickey (guitar), Josh Silver (keyboards), and Sal Abruscato (drums). The band's name is derived from the fact that all four original members had O-negative blood type.
