What are the four sections of musical instruments?

Chordophones: Instruments that produce sound through the vibration of strings. Examples include the guitar, violin, and piano.

Aerophones: Instruments that produce sound through the vibration of air. Examples include the flute, clarinet, and trumpet.

Membranophones: Instruments that produce sound through the vibration of a membrane. Examples include the drum, cymbal, and tambourine.

Idiophones: Instruments that produce sound through the vibration of the entire instrument. Examples include the gong, bell, and xylophone.
