Where Do you put your fingers on an acoustic guitar?

Left Hand Fingers:

1. Index Finger: Placed on the first fret

2. Middle Finger: Placed on the second fret

3. Ring Finger: Placed on the third fret

4. Pinky Finger: Placed on the fourth fret

Right Hand Fingers:

1. Thumb: Picks the top three strings (high E, B and G)

2. Index Finger: Picks the A string

3. Middle Finger: Picks the D string

4. Ring Finger: Picks the G string (lowest pitch string)
