Why did Bethoven want to play music?

Ludwig van Beethoven did not want to be a musician.

Beethoven was a deaf musician who wrote symphonies, sonatas and other works for orchestra and chamber groups. He began to lose his hearing in his late 20s and was completely deaf by the age of 44. Despite his hearing loss, he was able to compose some of his most famous works during this time.

It is widely believed that Beethoven continued to compose music because it was his passion and he found solace and joy in it. His love for music was so great that he considered his hearing loss to be a minor setback. He refused to let it define him and instead, used it as motivation to create even more beautiful and powerful works of music.
