Do harpsichords always have two rows?

Not always. Harpsichords can have one, two, or even three rows of strings. Harpsichords with two rows of strings are called "double-strung" harpsichords, while harpsichords with one row of strings are called "single-strung" harpsichords. Harpsichords with three rows of strings are very rare.
