How do you play e major scale on the cello and could please include fingerings?

To play the E major scale on the cello, place your fingers on the following strings and frets**:

- E string: 1st finger on 1st fret

- A string: 1st finger on 2nd fret

- D string: 1st finger on 2nd fret

- G string: 2nd finger on 2nd fret

- C* string: 3rd finger on 2nd fret

To finish out the octaves add the following notes:

- D string: 3rd finger on 1st fret

- A string: 4th finger on 3rd fret

- E string: 4th finger on 2nd fret

To ascend, starting on E, play:

- E

-F#

-G#

-A

-B

-C#

-D#

-E

Remember to use the correct fingerings and to keep your fingers close to the strings. Use a light touch and practice slowly at first. As you become more comfortable with the scale, you can increase the tempo.
