When was the first tambourine made?

There is no recorded date for when the first Tambourine was made, but it is certain that it has existed for thousands of years. A tambourine is similar to a hand-held drum that has a frame, usually of wood or plastic, with skin or plastic stretched across it. Small metal discs or jingles are attached to the frame and make noise when the instrument is shaken or struck. Tambourines are often associated with Middle Eastern and Eastern European music and have been used in various religious ceremonies and rituals. The tambourine is a versatile musical instrument believed to have originated in ancient times and has been used in music performances for centuries.
