What type of sound does the zink instrument produce?

There is no instrument called a "zink". There are two instruments that are possible to have been meant:

- Zink in German translates to zinc, which does not make sound by itself.

- Zink in English might refer to the cornett, a brass instrument that belongs to the trumpet family. The modern cornett makes a similar sound to the trumpet, but mellower and gentler. When used as a solo instrument, the cornett generally plays lyrical melody lines.
