Hydrogen Peroxide
1. Soak the reed in hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes.
2. Rinse the reed thoroughly with water.
3. Allow the reed to air dry.
Vinegar
1. Soak the reed in vinegar for 30 minutes.
2. Rinse the reed thoroughly with water.
3. Allow the reed to air dry.
Rubbing alcohol:
1. Dampen a cloth with rubbing alcohol.
2. Wipe the reed down with the cloth.
3. Allow the reed to air dry.
Dish soap:
1. Add a few drops of dish soap to a cup of water.
2. Swish the reed around in the soapy water.
3. Rinse the reed thoroughly with water.
4. Allow the reed to air dry.
After disinfecting the reed, be sure to store it in a cool, dry place.
