- Locate the release tabs. These are usually small, plastic tabs that are located on the sides or bottom of the face plate.
- Gently pry up the release tabs. Use a small screwdriver or other pry tool to gently pry up the release tabs. Be careful not to damage the plastic tabs.
- Pull the face plate off. Once the release tabs are pried up, you should be able to pull the face plate off of the radio.
Here are a few additional tips:
- If the face place has been glued or bonded in any way, you may need to use a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the adhesive before attempting to remove the faceplate.
- If you are not confident working with electronics, please get assistance from a qualified professional.
