What is a dubstep band?

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London, England, in the late 1990s. It is characterized by sparse, syncopated rhythms; heavy use of sub-bass frequencies; and prominent use of samples and effects.

A dubstep band is typically composed of a DJ or producer, who creates and mixes the music, and one or more live musicians, who play instruments such as keyboards, drums, or guitars. Dubstep bands often perform at live shows and festivals, and their music is also released on record and online.

Some notable dubstep bands include:

* Rusko

* Skrillex

* Zeds Dead

* Bassnectar

* Excision

* Datsik

* Sub Focus

* Pendulum

* The Prodigy

These bands have all helped to popularize dubstep and have inspired a new generation of electronic music producers.
