What Bach wrote music for flutes?

Johann Sebastian Bach wrote music for flutes in several of his compositions, including:

• Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F major, BWV 1047: This concerto features a prominent flute part in the first and third movements.

• Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G major, BWV 1049: The flute plays a solo role in the second movement of this concerto.

• Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor, BWV 1067: The flute is featured in the "Badinerie" movement of this suite.

• Sonata for Flute in A major, BWV 1032: This sonata is specifically written for the flute and harpsichord or continuo.

• Sonata for Flute and Continuo in E minor, BWV 1034: Another sonata featuring the flute, accompanied by a continuo.

• Partita for Flute in A minor, BWV 1013: This partita consists of several dance movements written for the flute.

• Cantatas: Bach also included flute parts in some of his church cantatas, such as "Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen," BWV 51, and "Ich armer Mensch, ich Sündenknecht," BWV 55.

These are just a few examples of Bach's compositions that include music written for flutes. Bach did not write an exclusive flute concerto per se.
