Why 2 different keys on sheet music?

Sheet music often has two different keys because it is written in a specific key, but the piece may modulate to a different key at some point. The key signature at the beginning of the piece indicates the key of the home key, while any key changes within the piece will be indicated by a new key signature. This allows the musician to easily understand and perform the piece without having to mentally calculate the key changes.
