Use manuscript paper to write out the music which you want to create on your synthesizers. Since synthesizers are piano-like instruments, the music will be appear similar to piano music with a treble and bass cleft. You may also record a section of music you have improvised on the synthesizer, so that it can be played back later for you or other musicians who may be in your group to listen to.
Record a track of music using only the synthesizers. Then record the vocals, if any. Record the drums and any other instruments. Use recording software in the recording studio or on your computer like Appleton Live and Reason. Recording equipment which may be used in recording studios includes Pro Tools HD/LE and Cubase VST 5.0. All of these programs are compatible with Macs or PCs.
Edit the music which you have created and recorded. Take time to do this properly letting other members of the group, if any, hear the music and have input into what has been recorded. Make certain that the music is as perfect as possible. Enlist the aid of a professional producer in order to do this.
