The delta blues is a style of blues music that originated in the Mississippi Delta region of the United States. Memphis is located in the Mississippi Delta region and is considered to be the birthplace of the blues. The city has a long and rich history of blues music, and is home to many famous blues musicians, including B.B. King, Muddy Waters, and Howlin' Wolf. St. Paul, Minnesota is not located in the Mississippi Delta region and does not have the same history of blues music as Memphis.
