Where do you meet Marley at victory road in Pokemon diamond?

You don't actually meet Marley on Victory Road in Pokémon Diamond. You meet him in Victory Square, which is the area directly after Victory Road. You encounter him after defeating Cynthia in the Pokémon League, and he challenges you to a battle.
