How did green day meet?

Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt met in 1982, when they were both 10 years old, at Hillcrest Junior High School in Rodeo, California. They bonded over their shared love of music, and soon began playing together in a band called Sweet Children. In 1987, they recruited drummer John Kiffmeyer (better known as Al Sobrante), and the band's name was changed to Green Day.
