When does Elvis Presley become popular?
In 1954, Sam Phillips, owner of Sun Records in Memphis, recognized Presley's potential and took him into the recording studio. Presley's first single, "That's All Right," sold over 20,000 copies, and his popularity began to grow. In 1955, Presley appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, a prestigious country music show. He also released his first album, Elvis Presley, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
