How did Little Mix start their music career?

Little Mix was formed in 2011 through the eighth season of the British television series The X Factor. Originally, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson were in separate groups; however, as soloists they were unsuccessful. The girls were put together by judge Louis Walsh and formed a group during boot camp. They eventually won the competition, becoming the first girl group to win The X Factor.
