I need a simple explanation of how to read guitar tabs can anyone help me?

Guitar tabs show you where to put your fingers on the guitar neck to play a song. Each horizontal line in the tab represents a string on your guitar, with the bottom string being the thickest. The numbers on the lines tell you which fret to press on that string. For example, the tab below shows an E minor chord:

```
---0---
---5---
---5---
---3---
---0---
---x---
```

To play this chord, place your fingers on the following frets:

* Index finger on the 3rd fret of the A string

* Middle finger on the 5th fret of the D string

* Ring finger on the 5th fret of the G string

* Pinky finger on the 3rd fret of the B string

The "x" in the tab for the high E string means to not play that string.

If you see two numbers on the same string in a tab, it means to hammer-on or pull-off between those frets. For example, the tab below shows a hammer-on from the 3rd to the 5th fret on the A string:

```
---3h5---
---x---
---x---
---x---
---x---
---x---
```

There you have it a very basic and simple guide to reading guitar tabs. Remember practice is key to becoming a great guitarist. Now have some fun and start learning some of your favorite songs!
