In 1792, Beethoven moved to Vienna, Austria, where he studied with Franz Joseph Haydn and other prominent musicians of the time. He quickly gained recognition as a virtuoso pianist and composer, and his works began to be performed throughout Europe.
Beethoven continued to live and work in Vienna for the rest of his life. He composed some of the most famous and influential works in classical music, including symphonies, concertos, sonatas, and operas. He died in Vienna in 1827.
