Are the Shins a Christian group?

The Shins are an American indie rock band formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1996. The band consists of James Mercer (vocals, guitar), Marty Crandall (bass), Jessica Dobson (keyboards, vocals), Yuuki Matthews (guitar, vocals), and Jon Sortland (drums). The band's music has been described as indie rock, pop rock, and alternative rock.

The Shins have released five studio albums: Oh, Inverted World (2001), Chutes Too Narrow (2003), Wincing the Night Away (2007), Port of Morrow (2012), and Heartworms (2017). The band has also released two live albums, a compilation album, and a number of singles.

The Shins have been nominated for a number of awards, including two Grammy Awards and a Mercury Prize. The band has won two NME Awards and a Brit Award.

The Shins are not a Christian group. The band's music does not contain any religious themes or lyrics.
