How did the group ndubz get their name?

Dappy, Fazer and Tulisa originally named their group ‘NW1’. They are all from North West London - hence ‘NW’. The ‘1’ simply signified that there was only 1 group like them. Their label however thought that the name ‘NW1’ seemed a bit too local, and suggested ‘NDubz’ instead. The group liked the name because it meant ‘No Doubt’ – i.e. “We’re the best that there is.”
