Who walked with Gandhi in Dandi march?
Thousands of Indians walked with Mahatma Gandhi in Dandi march. The Dandi march is remembered as a historic protest against the salt laws imposed by the British Rule in India. On March 12, 1930, Gandhi set out from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, along with 78 carefully selected satyagrahis. As the march progressed, more and more people from nearby towns and villages joined the procession. By the time they reached Dandi, on the Arabian Sea coast, on April 5, 1930, the number of participants had swelled to several thousands. Among the notable people who joined the march were Sarojini Naidu, Kasturba Gandhi (Gandhi's wife), and Jawaharlal Nehru.
