When does the rebellion start in Catching Fire?

The rebellion in Catching Fire officially begins at the end of the Quarter Quell Games, after Katniss and Peeta's escape from the arena.

However, the seeds of the rebellion were sown much earlier:

* District 13's communication with Katniss: Throughout the Games, District 13 is covertly communicating with Katniss, encouraging her to act as a symbol of defiance against the Capitol.

* The Mockingjay symbol: When Katniss and Peeta put the Mockingjay pin on during the Games, it becomes a symbol of hope and resistance for the districts.

* The destruction of District 11: The Capitol's brutal execution of Rue, the young girl from District 11, sparked anger and resentment in the districts.

* The rebellion's planning: Throughout the book, we learn that several districts are already secretly organizing and planning to overthrow the Capitol.

While the official start of the rebellion is at the end of the Games, the book clearly shows that it was a culmination of many events and a growing sense of discontent within the districts.
