How often do you see male flute or piccolo players in a marching band?

Male flute and piccolo players are not uncommon in marching bands. While certain instruments, such as the trumpet or tuba, may have a higher proportion of male players, both flutes and piccolos are instruments that can be played by musicians of any gender. In fact, many university and professional marching bands have significant representation from both male and female flute and piccolo players.
