What was first radio station?

KDKA, Pittsburgh

The world's first commercial radio station, KDKA, was established on November 2, 1920. It was located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was owned by the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company. The station's first broadcast was a live, play-by-play account of the presidential election returns between Warren G. Harding and James M. Cox. KDKA is still in operation today and is owned by the CBS Corporation.
