Is the Word Alive a Christian band?

The Word Alive is a Christian metalcore band from Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Formed in 2008, the band consists of lead vocalist Tyler Smith, guitarists Zack Hansen and Tony Pizzuti, bassist Nick Urriola, and drummer Matt Horn. The Word Alive has released five studio albums: Deceiver (2010), Life Cycles (2012), Real (2014), Dark Matter (2016), and Violent Noise (2018). The band has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has performed at a number of major music festivals, including Warped Tour and Rockstar Uproar.
