  1. Johnny D's Uptown Restaurant & Music Club

    • Johnny D's Uptown is a restaurant and music venue operating since 1969. Johnny D's offers such late-night treats as buffalo shrimp, omelets, and burgers and a musical lineup that includes blues, jazz, Cajun, folk, country, and international. The Memphis Blues Foundation awarded Johnny D's a "Keeping Blues Alive" award. The club's calendar is booked most nights, so whenever you make it to Davis Square, you're sure to find music at this hopping bar. Its conscientious approach to food means you'll have no hormone-injected meats or dairy products, and you'll enjoy fresh-squeezed juices and foods prepared with filtered water. On Sunday evenings, the bar has a blues jam in which all ages are welcome. It also starts the weeknight shows at an earlier hour so customers can make it home for a good night's sleep before work or school the next day.
