Dance Clubs Near Shelburne and in Burlington, Vermont

Burlington, the largest city in Vermont, has a wide variety of recreational activities and entertainment options available. Not only does the city have outdoor recreational activities at Lake Champlain and in the Green Mountains, but it is also home to a thriving nightlife. In nearby Shelburne, with just 7,000 residents, the nightlife options are limited. However, residents need only travel 9 miles to access the numerous dance clubs that Burlington has to offer.

  1. Rasputin's

    • Rasputin's Bar and Nightclub provides patrons with a large dance floor, 10 televisions, pool tables and two full bars, always staffed with five bartenders. Open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, Rasputin's has different DJs each night. Individuals 18 to 20 years of age may attend the club on Thursday nights along with all patrons, but are admitted before 11 p.m. only, as they must be identified as underage with a hand stamp.

      On Thursday nights, Rasputin's offers drink specials and no cover for patrons over 21. On Friday and Saturday nights, those who arrive at the club before 11 p.m. are rewarded with free admittance.

    LiFT

    • LiFT has been open since July 2009. The club plays a variety of music, from techno and R&B to hip hop and Top 40 hits and is open Wednesday through Friday nights. Wednesday is the only night individuals under 21 years of age can attend. However, patrons under 21 must be in the club before 11 p.m. for identification purposes. Every other night is open only to the 21-and-over crowd.

      The club boasts a full bar, large dance floor and booths; plus, couch areas that patrons may reserve or rent.

    Red Square

    • The Red Square Bar and Grill is a combination bar, restaurant, dance club and art gallery. The club hosts events seven nights a week, including DJs and live bands. The focus of the club is a large dance floor that allows all patrons a good view of the performing DJ or band. Those needing a break from the dance floor have access to tables where they enjoy Red Square's restaurant menu and full bar.

      Red Square also hosts different art exhibitions each month for local artists.

    Club Metronome

    • Club Metronome prides itself on the variety of musical artists that grace its stage. From local DJs and singer-songwriters to nationally recognized musicians, patrons can find entertainment at the club every night of the week. Club Metronome is one of the larger dance clubs with a 250-person capacity.

      The club's weekly events include Bass Culture, featuring bass-heavy music and drink specials and the Friday "No Diggity 90s Night" event, which is open only to those 21 and over.
